ADMISSION GUIDELINES
ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE SESSION 2010-2011
(I) All admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. Direct admission will be made after the merit lists are completely exhausted and/if the seats are available.
(II) Online Submission will be available in the website of the college www.mmccollege.org starting from 3rd June,2010 to 18th June,2010 for the preparation of Merit Panel free of cost.
(III) Applicants may also collect (as long as available) the printed hard copy of the “admission form” from the office (11am to 2 pm) starting from 12th June , 2010 to 18th June, 2010. In that case he/she must have to submit the completed form with photo-copy of Mark-sheet and Cast certificate (where necessary) to the college office within 18thJune,2010 and collect the form number from the office for further correspondence.
(IV) Different Merit Lists for Counselling in different subjects will be notified in the notice board of the college and also in the website www.mmccollege.org on 20th June ,2010 . The Date of Counselling and venue for different subjects will be mentioned therein.
(V) During counselling candidates must bring the receipt obtained from online (printed document) or the documents regarding form number obtained from college office along with other necessary original documents.
(VI) Counselling will be purely on merit basis and admission will be continued until the seats are available.
(VII) Starting date of admission: 21st June, 2010
Last date of admission : 31st July, 2010
Last date of change of subject: 31st August, 2010
Last date of registration (without Late Fee) : 17th September,2010
Last date of registration (with Late Fee): 24th September,2010
(VIII) Basic criteria:
(a) Applicants for admission to 1st year classes must have passed in H.S. or equivalent examination.
(b) Reservation of seats : S.C. 22% , S.T. 6%
(c) To apply for Honours in any subject the applicant must have secured pass marks in associated subjects in the previous qualification examination.
(d) Separate application form has to be submitted for each Honours Subject with different pass subjects combination.
(e) Guardian (Father/Mother) must be present to sign the Admission form during counselling.
(f) Issue of admission form bears no guarantee for admission.
(IX) DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF COUNSELLING AND ADMISSION
- Original Mark Sheet (H.S./Equivalent Examination).
- Original Admit Card (Madhyamik/ equivalent exam. for age proof).
- Certificate from the school last attended in case of students of other states.
- Two copies of unattested Passport size photograph.
- Original cast certificate (where necessary).

(XIV) All students must have to take Compulsory English (50marks) and ENVS(50 Marks) and any one of Bengali/Hindi (50marks) as Optional Subject.
